2nd Trans-Himalaya International Extreme Cycling Race kicks off in Tibet

    The first stage of the 2nd Trans-Himalaya International Extreme Cycling Race was kicked off in Nyingchi city of Tibet Autonomous Region on the morning of October 8, 2019. A total of 117 domestic and overseas competitors from China, Nepal, Ukraine and other countries took part in the game. VTIBET.com reported.

    After a fierce competition, Ukrainian cyclist Vasylyuk Andriy from Kolss-BDC Team won the first stage race championship with 2h 48min 8s. And Ukrainian cyclist Bust Vitaliy from Kolss-BDC Team got the second place of the race. Chinese Niu Yikui from Heilongjiang Team stood third with 2h 48min 14s.

    In recent years, relying on superior outdoor resources, Tibet has accelerated the development of outdoor industry and successively held Lunang Mountain Bicycle Adventure Race, Mt. Shokula Bicycle Motocross and other games. With the development of outdoor sport, cycling enthusiasts in Tibet grow with each passing day, a batch of well-known local cycling teams such as Yak team, Old Pals team and so on have sprung up.
