Festive atmosphere in Lhasa as Tibetan New Year nears

    With the Chinese Lunar New Year, otherwise known as the Spring Festival, and the Tibetan New Year, known as Losar, approaching, Lhasa's streets and landmark buildings have been decorated with various festival ornaments, creating a strong festive atmosphere throughout the whole city, Chinanews.com reported on Feb. 2.


    Losar is an important traditional festival for China's Tibetan people. This year's Losar is to fall on Feb .5, coinciding with the Spring Festival.
